Welcome to the 2nd instalment in Awayday Radio’s Isolation Sessions. Today it’s the turn of Jonny Ash singer Callum Gaughran.

Callum Gaughran is the lead singer of North Wales band Jonny Ash.

Here he performs two original songs written by Callum himself. “Pub fights and dry spells” and “Amsterdam” draw inspiration from life as a young man and personal experiences Callum has had through his late teens and early twenties.

After receiving support from up and coming bands The Skinner Brothers and The Big Push for covering their new singles, this has led Jonny Ash to building up a following over social media.

Since forming they’ve composed their own music with influences from bands such as The Stone Roses, Thin Lizzy, The Beatles and DMA’s. These influences shine through on their debut EP ‘Blurry Vision’. Since the release of their EP they have been included in the OurSoundMusic top 50 singles of the year, clinching 15th place with “Eclipse” and the companies 2021 hotlist, tipped to ‘blow up’ in the coming year.
