So Friday night, I am relaxing at home when I receive a call asking where I am and if I am free. There’s something special happening at The Bodega which is on my doorstep.
I get ready in super quick time and make my way up to the venue.
As I enter, the boys have already taken to the stage. The venue is packed and I enter to the sweetest of anthemic guitar riff and everyone bouncing.
It was at this point I knew this was going to be a great set.
I make my way through the crowd to get into the thick of it and witness everyone having a great time. This is mainly as a result of the energy, Conrad is producing from the stage! It was electric.
The whole venue was bouncing from the front to the back and even over towards the bar. In fact it was that energetic I could literally feel the dancefloor bouncing beneath my feet!
Tracks such as ‘feel it’, ‘Bury me’, ‘kick in the teeth’ and their personal favourite to perform live ‘Bold’ had the crowd in their element. They were eating from the hands of the Cheshire band. You could just tell the band were embracing every last second of what the crowd were giving them back as a result of the quality of performance! It really was something special.
The lads are currently embarking on a European tour of which some dates have had to be cancelled due to travel restrictions. This Saturday they will be playing in Paris which in itself is a major accomplishment.
I have seen today also, they have announced a tour supporting The Reytons up and down the country next month. This includes 2 more dates at The Rescue Rooms in Nottingham of which I can assure you I will be attending both!

Anyway, back to last Friday, what was very pleasing to the eye, when the gig had finished the lads took so much time chatting to fans, signing merchandise and having a good laugh. The vibe of the entire evening was just spot on, start to finish.
Prior to this though they finished the show with one big outro. A nice chilled riff being played whilst Conrad bellows, Nottingham!!!!! Nottingham!!!!! Nottingham fucking ham!!!!! He was just teasing with us before, BOOOOOOOOM, the lot went off! Instruments weren’t far off being destroyed, the entire dancefloor losing their minds. Utter carnage was the only way to explain it. It ended with Conrad doing a ‘Bruce Foxton’ esque jump in the air with the guitar (feature image) before ending the track playing on his back, Sam (bassist) literally ripping his bass strings (that’s the only way I could describe it) and a stage full of sweat!
These boys are really something special and I predict big things to come from them in the future! Keep your eyes peeled, give them your ears and enjoy the ride!
Much love, Birchy 🤘
