Hiya Guys firstly thanks for agreeing to talk to us at Awayday Radio.
Please introduce us to the band.
We are The Underclass, a 5 piece guitar driven band from stoke with members myself (Jorge Wilson) frontman, Matt Trevor lead guitar, Dillan Ashton rhythm guitar, Aaron smith bass guitar and Theo Pierce on drums.
What first got you into music?
For myself I first proper got into music after hearing Michael Jackson’s thriller on tv so I spent many years as a kid trynna learn the moonwalk haha. For everyone else in the band Everyone else has their own stories but most of us have all taken inspiration of our upbringings and the music we’ve listened to.
Who inspired you to make music?
With our music it isn’t just one person that inspires us it’s countless artists. However the first song of ours that was written was written in my bedroom after seeing Richard Ashcroft live the day before and being inspired to give songwriting a go to which I wrote my personal favourite song of ours Free.
How would you describe your music?
The music that we create I would describe as beautiful and dangerous. The perfect mixture.
Where have you performed?
We have performed in many places and venues n I can’t remember them all from the top of my head. However our favourite gigs took place in The Sugarmill and Underground in our hometown of Stoke, the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, The Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham and Jimmys Manchester.

What are your favourite and least favourite venues?
Our favourite venue that we’ve played would hands down be The Cavern Club as it’s probably on almost every bands tick list of venues and the atmosphere in there is next level. We’ve also got our local venues The Sugarmill and The underground it’s always a good gig in them two everyone goes mental. You can’t call out bad venues as everyone’s in the same shite boat at the minute with the way the governments treated our industry. Saying that we’ve played some right dodgy places, one of which the gaff looked abandoned but it were still a cracking gig either way.
Do you have any upcoming shows?
We’ve got huge shows waiting to happen when they can however they’re top secret atm so keep your eyes open to find out.
What is your favourite song to perform?
You know we don’t have a clue there’s too many to choose from. We’ll leave that one for the fans to pick their favourite tune of ours.

Which famous musicians do you admire and why?
Again this is one of them where there are too many to choose from but I’ll give you every members main hero to give you an idea. My biggest icon would be Richard Ashcroft as we wouldn’t even exist if I hadn’t of seen him that night and wrote my first song the next day and he’s just cool as. Matt’s main inspiration is Slash which shows you why he can bash out a mad guitar solo. Dillan’s inspiration from what I can remember is Pete Doherty or it might be Mike Skinner from The Streets either way I know he thinks they’re both absolute geniuses. Johnny Cash is also a major influence of his. Aaron’s inspiration is Don Broco’s bassist Tom Doyle and you can easily tell by how they both have the same stance when playing their instrument hahah and finally Theo’s is legendary drummer John Bonham of Led Zeppelin.

What is one message you would give to your fans?
Keep a hold of yourselves because it’s gonna get f*cking nuts.
I got to ask this but what football teams do you support?
We’re all fans of our home club Stoke City who we’ve had the chance to work with and also have some very tasty things coming involving the club so again keep an eye out.
What casual gear do you all wear?
Probably too much ha. We all wear different stuff I know Stone Island, CP and a bit of Burberry is occasionally worn. But really we just wear whatever we think looks cool on us. We’re recently big fans of Everyday garments which is quality stuff and deffo recommended.

What’s next for you?
The sky. Nothing more, nothing less…
Well here at Awayday Radio we are big fans of yours so we will follow you on your journey to the top and we hope that you will comeback and do another interview with us after you finish your world tour?
